Title: KTM kicker shaft sizes??? HELP!
Post by: Andy on April 30, 2002, 01:07:24 AM
Hello everyone.

I have an old 79 KTM 175 enduro.  I am looking for a kick start lever for it and hear that there are 2 sizes of shafts, a larger and a smaller.  Is this true?  If it is, could anyone tell me what the diameters of both sizes are?  It would help me in finding a used part.

Thank you in advance for any help.
Andy

You will need the smaller diameter, can't remember shaft size for sure.

Thanks Rocket.

I found out from Al Buehner that the two sizes for the KTM kicker shafts are 14mm for the small shaft and 17mm for the larger.  I hope this info helps others as well.  Are there any other makes that are interchangeable?  I don't care how it looks just so long as I can kick the engine over.

Thanks again.
