Title: WTB Handlebars for 72 Six Day
Post by: KJDonovan on November 27, 2011, 05:20:03 PM
I am looking for a good (not bent, decent chrome) set of handlebars for a 72 Six Day with 32MM Ceriani forks.  If anyone has a set collecting dust and can part with them send me an email: [email protected]

Thanks,

KD

Here's another ad for chrome vintage bars:

Anyone know if these would be correct?

Kevin,

i have a set of those $42 bars, they are like a set of flat track bars with a cross-bar,
"IMO" if you cut about 2" off each side they are not too bad, the pull back is very much like stock Yamaha AT1 bars,

the bars that Parmabike sells are an exact copy of the "OE" bars,

hope this helps,

Mike,

Thanks for the heads up, the bars are for a bike I am pulling back together for a guy,  the ones he had must have Schwinn stamped on them somewhere, so anything will be an improvement.

I have purchased both in the past.  The inexpensive bars are a close resemblance to the original that was on my Jackpiner with a litte more pull back.  It is obvious that with these inexpensive bars most of the savings is in the "chrome" finish.  The Parmabike bars as well as many of his other repo items are expensive but top quality.  Like, shocks, tires, and other items, the intended use and your budget influence the desired outcome.

I can also speak from experience on the MX bars from Speed n Sport.  Very nice bars at an affordable price.

The China bar [8]  are more or less a CZ bend Bar . Speed and Sport a good choice.
