Title: decal removal
Post by: skiracer on December 03, 2011, 09:24:14 AM
Has anyone found a way to remove old decals from the fiberglass tanks?  I would rather not sand them off because the finish on the tank is very nice.  Thanks, James

James,
Try heating a little with a hair dryer & peel them off.

OR, you can try "Goof Off".  Cheap, simple to use and will not damage the surface.

You can buy a white eraser type rubber wheel that chucks into your drill which will very easily rub and peel the decals right off.  Try an automotive painters supply for one.

Thanks everyone!  I used a hairdryer and a razor, worked fine!
