Title: what to look for
Post by: skiracer on December 12, 2011, 07:43:28 AM
I had some shifting problems with my MC 5 this summer, and plan to split the cases to take a look......  It seems shifting from 2nd to 3rd, I would miss the gear, and be in a neutral. So what should I be looking for? Bent fork?  How would I know if the shifting drum is bad?  Is there any tell signs of a bad one, or do you "just have to know" kind of thing.  Also, while I have it apart, I have had problems with 6th gear.  I would get a whining sound from it.  If I didn't use 6th, no problem.  Any suggestions?  Thanks, James
