Title: Shipping methods
Post by: Matthew McPhail on December 29, 2011, 05:33:52 PM
I'm looking at sending 1 full bike and two torn down bikes from FL to OH.  Any recommendations on shipping companies or methods?

Thanks,
Matt

Doubt the will take full bike but greyhound does freight on the side. Very reasonable. Uship has been great for me for full bikes.

I recently got a quote from Wolverine Transport, 800 miles and delivery within three weeks for $395, fully insured.  That's about the price of gas and one night in a motel. I haven't used them before but have seen some good recommendations for them on Mark's vintage site. They have a nice website, seek a quote and it comes back to via email pretty quick.  Tom

Matt,
Keep in mind that Daytona will be here before you know it, you just might find someone who would be glad to make the haul for some gas $$.  Maybe give a general idea as to what part of FL to what part of Ohio, just a thought.

Marsattacks, you gonna gather around the spaceship in downtown Mars to usher in the New Year with the rest of the Martians.....

Paul, we were in Mars for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Because Mars is between 34 million and 249 million miles away from Earth depending on date of travel we cannot make the trip again for New Years in person but are there in spirit.  Our best to you and yours and all POGers for a safe, happy and productive New Year!!!
