Title: Decorative Chrome Plating Service
Post by: iyaoyas on January 03, 2012, 08:45:56 AM
Hello and Happy New Year to all...!   Does anyone know of a company who will re-chrome used motorcycle exhaust systems i.e., head pipes and/or mufflers without catalytic converters?  Thanks-

Steve,

I do not know if this firm can do what you are looking for, but I do know that many folks I have spoken with over the years have mentioned that they use them for their restoration work on both autos and motorcycles.  Maybe they can help you.

Thanks Paul!

FYI...Paul's Chrome does process MC exhaust systems however you'll need to remove the baffles and if applicable the catalytic converter.  This is not an issue for me as I'm interested in re-chroming a head pipe assembly from a '76 CB400F.  However, based on the plating estimate I received over the phone I may be better off buying a NOS or aftermarket exhaust.

Other suggestions for vendors or NOS parts are welcome...

I agree with President Danik. Paul's Chrome is on e of the best. They are known for classic car work. Not cheap but very good.
