Do any of you detailed restorers know if there is a place to readily obtain the black vinyl tubing that covers the wires between the stator and coil? Everything I checked at auto parts and building supplies has been way too thick walled. The original stuff is thin like a soda straw and about .400" O.D.

Any idea on what size is needed? I am away from home and would like to route an additional baseplate ground wire in the loom for a bike I am working on presently for a friend and would like to get some ordered. Thanks, Mike

3M makes a line of shrinkable vinyle tubing ... comes in 3 ft length various sizes.... you can use without shrinking the tubing ....BT

Dale, you da man!! I just ordered from the site. Their product in the 11 mm size is just like the original tubing covering the wires between stator and coil.
