Anyone have a 1974.5 HS 250 metal seat base good condition? Whole seat? respond
[email protected] or 919 819-4950 I have a yellow airbox or tank for a 1973 HS which I can trade. The parts were bought from Paul D and they are in excellent condition restored. Not opposed to a cash deal but since I don't have a 73 anymore I don't need the tank or box and would prefer a trade. Thanks

Never seen a metal one only fiberglas.
My 1976 Cross Country and 76 MC5 both had an aluminum one, but I don't recall any before 76. Mike

They would be alloy and most likely on the 1975 ( I have one) to early 76 mc5 and those would have mounting nut inserts for rear fenders. The seat foam to match the base is molded deeper on the rear underside. I would have a correct fiberglass base and or whole seat.
my 74.5 Six Day has one. It's aluminum.

Kip, I really don't know for sure, but this bike came out of Tenn. Owner I got if from said it was his dad's and it had been parked in the barn since about 79. It had 321 miles on the odometer and no title. He lead me to believe it was originally from TN. It was an Aug 74 Bike.
