Just acquired a nice Penton front wheel hub and it has a very powerful small 3/8" diameter magnet neatly JB welded to the outer edge. I'm thinking this must be somehow associated with a speedometer. Any thoughts??

Thanks as Always,

Probably had a bicycle speedometer. I've used those for years on my bikes. really accurate if set up right. I usually mount sending unit to the brake stay and route wire with the brake cable up to handle bar

This was probably for an enduro computer or speedo.
