Did you lay out the CC course Jerry? I'm riding the 100 in Vintage CC, and something in PV dont know what yet. I bought an '84 KTM125 from Mike Parker that needs a top end, I'm going to bring a piston kit, a gasket set, my spare cylinger/head and some numbers. If it seems OK I'll ride that for PV CC and if not, the '74.5 400 or the Maico. Not sure if I want to ride the 100 in MX, its going to depend on what the track looks like. Cant WAIT to get the '79 Maico 440 out there on Sunday though...Its nearly two weeks out still and I'm already getting pumped!!

I unfortunately have cancelled plans to attend.  A room (two queen beds) was reserved at the Howard Johnson's - 75 N Broad St. - Norwick, NY 13815 - about 20 minutes from the track for Friday and Saturday nights.  Total showing on my reservation was $183.60 USD.  If anyone is interested in it I can see if they will change it over to your name.  Drop me an email.

Anyone coming have any interest in looking at my MC 5 tranny?  I split the cases to replace the shifting shaft, and decided to take a look at all the gears.  I was having a problem with sixth gear, so I wanted to see if anything was worn.  Anyway, I have done five trannys in the past without any problems.  I can't get this one to spin freely.  The crank will not turn completely around.  I will be there Thursday early afternoon.  If anyone has an interest, I will be displaying number L21 on my KTM and Hercules.  Thanks!

Ola, muchachos!  In a perfect world, I'm there all three days but my work place may say otherwise - one of our nuke unit's has not come out of refueling outage yet and I have one of those jobs where you have to drop what you doing and...

Anyway - plan to do Vint and PV XC on Friday (gosh those are close together), maybe Vint MX on Saturday and definitely PV MX on Sunday.

Bikes still need some work, as my Memorial Day weekend was spent doing final moves of homeware from This Old House to The New Ponderosa (in 85 degree conditions, thank you very much).  Thank you to Dennis Foley for loaning me his back-up Motoplat coil for my MC5. Let's hope that is sufficient to remove the Poltergiest that shut me down (twice)on the white flag laps at Cato MX.  Other than that, it is race-ready.  The Six Day needs more attention, but just due to lack of attention.  Haven't touched it yet this year.  Hopefully, no mice decided to make a home in the Circle F pipe over winter.

Looking forward to seeing (and meeting some for first time!) all of you Masters of Penton Machinery at Unadilla.

Mr. Dale Fisher - I would love to grab that room from you.  My email at work is robert.close@cengllc. com, I don't have yours handy - wasn't sure if POG mail feature is working.  Here is personal info if hotel will take my name for now):

Good Luck Bob!  You are going to need it.  "You don't breed race horse at the race track!"  R. Carbaugh (c 2007) to Ernie P and his broken down ol' pentons.  But hey, life is good at the "The New Ponderosa."   Congrats on the new pad and you can always fix the bike later or at the track.

Don't fear, Kirby will have plenty of tools and he will probably be using them too.

(just pokin' fun cuz I aint going to be there)

Hey Brian,
Please email me at seapupsan at aol.com.  I can't find your email address in my computer and want to continue the piston discussion from Meridian.  Cheers.

Thanks for all of that moral support, Ernesto...would expect nothing less from you.

Hmmm...now, I wonder if they want me to sign autographs at the same tables as Smith and Wienert, or at my own tent...

Ernesto,

Yes, I am bringing every tool I own but my bikes, while dirty and filthy, are impeccably prepared and ready to race. No breeding at the track for me.

Anyone else who is going to be there, my bike number is 84c. If you need any tools or cookies (Mom always brings "race" cookies) or if you just want to stop and BS, dont hesitate to come by.

Wow..Wednesday night and I THINK my bikes are just about ready.  The only thing filthy and dirty is the lens on my Blackberry:

Also -  I mowed 2 of the 4.5 acres - must strike balance between my list and Honey Do list.  Especially when she figures out what we will  spend before this Unadilla weekend is over. Ouch.

Gary Ellis checked in with me tonight...says he hopes I get lots of practice because I'll need it when I come to mid-Ohio.  Man, he is just about as supportive as Phillips. Actually, he DID wish me good luck - but it about choked him....:)

Good luck Bob!  Swing by and visit with Brian and snag some race cookies.  And, don't forget to snug up the Mikuni on the 6-day.  Maybe Tony F can swing by and give it a once over.  Six Ps.

We're loaded up, and we are snugged.  But I still hope Tony comes by to check up me and his Fast By Friedel Six Day.  Gonna get about 6 hours of sleep before heading towards Una - F___ -Dilla!

But first I gotta watch episode 7 of HBO's Game of Thrones.  Just brilliant stuff.  Read all the books (my Sci-Fi-Fantasy Geek side).

And thanks, Ernie.  I'll find Brian, the cookies, and hopefully bring home some XC "wood" tomorrow for the POG.[8D]

Bob,

Missed seeing you on Sunday.  How did you finish up?  We were looking for you at the awards ceremony, but couldn't find you.
I assume you took home some hardware.  Congrats.

We stayed around until the end of the "Legends Awards" ceremony about 6 PM.  The team of Mark Barnett (The Bomber) with support riders, Tom Grimmel, Neil Seigel, Joe Kelly  and Brian O'Connor  all from Maryland,  took 4th place overall in the Legend's  Team competition.  YEA MARYLAND RIDERS!

I'm not going to make Mid Ohio this year, but maybe catch up with you somewhere else.

Tony
