Title: Wanted: Hercules 6 speeders 1975
Post by: Dwight Rudder on May 13, 2002, 01:19:46 AM
I just thought after speaking with former Hercules Factory rider(R Adml, ret.)Rick Grant, that I would broadcast an appeal for 6 speed Hercules. They were brought into the USA in 1975 and sold in 1975 & 76 . They were quite different from the 7 speed models . They had the standard 6 speed Sachs engines. They came as 100 ( rare, same tank as 125 ), 125 ( red tank), and the 175 ( blue tank ) . They had straight up and down shocks that were slightly forward mounted ( 5.5") and 7 " Ceriani forks. There were a bunch brought in that year but WHERE ARE THEY ?  I have a GS175/6 but there were a ton of the 125s but have seen almost none in last 25 years. If you know of any let us know.

Dwight, had a 75' 175cc.  Ran for ever.  Last dirt bike I owned until recently.
