Title: CEV 12v Headlight Crossover
Post by: Grunbay on July 28, 2012, 01:11:38 PM
I have just put a new MZ-B into my '72 Jackpiner and need to change out my bulbs to 12V. The rear is easy, but does any one know a crossover from a CEV 128 6V-30.30W sealed bulb to a 12V sealed bulb?

I get mine from the auto parts store, garden tractor bulbs at about $10, don't have the number off hand but they fit a PP headlight numberplate perfect!

John,

Below is something I posted a while back that will help;

Not sure if anyone here has had to purchase one of the small 12V sealed beam bulbs (Wagner or GE 4454) for any of their bikes lately but I went to my local NAPA to pick one of these up last week and was told the price was now $38! Told them to keep it, checked a few other parts stores and the price was similar. Did some searching online and found a company elightbulbs.com that had them for less than $13. So I figured I would pass the info along in case anyone else has had the same sticker shock I did. Link is below http://www.elightbulbs.com/General-44540-4454-Miniature-Automotive-Light-Bulb

Thanks,

Kevin
