Title: Wanted 1981 250 KTM swingarm or parts bike
Post by: Mike Lenz on October 03, 2012, 08:26:35 PM
I have not been able to find a swingarm for one of these in a couple of years looking and have a winter project I need one for.  Anyone got one? Will pay top dollar.  Will consider roller/whole bike also.
Thanks!

Probably the same as the 420, but not the 250 or 79-early 80 250 or 400. The later version shares the rear engine bolt with the swingarm and the earlier has 2 separate bolts. Mike

According to my 1981 KTM parts manual, the swingarm on the 1981 250 is the same as the following 1981 models - 250,350 and the 390 Mod.

The overal length of the swingarm, from pivot center to the rear of the swingarm is 569 mm.

The distance from swingarm pivot center to the shock mount bolt center is 302 mm.
