Hi all,
Can the clutch side crank seal be changed without splitting the cases?  it's a 75 250.

No, you have to pull out the crank to get to it

Replace them both while you are in there, and that gives you a good opportunity to inspect the shift forks, gears, and bearings for wear while you replace the center case gasket. Mike

I just changed the fly wheel side since I was having problems starting it. That did help. Now i think I have a jetting issue.hopfully i'll get the time and ambition to split the cases this winter and change the other side.
