Title: 1972 6 Day trial

My Penton has a metal front fender, but has a plastic rear fender? Was the rear fender suppose to be metal in its 1972 bike.

Hi Gino,

Welcome to the group. Yes, both front and rear fenders on the 1972 models were aluminum alloy.

Thanks for the info.I ride my Penton almost every day (around my house and down city streets). I was considering restoreing it ,and wanted to keep it as oringal as possibe. I'll have to start looking for fenders and parts at swap meets.

Off topic - but I just noticed that the brochure incorrectly refers to the unbreakable "plastic" gas tank.

Obviously written by a marketing person...............
