Title: 76 Hercules GS
Post by: Dave Carvin on November 07, 2012, 05:32:57 PM
Hi All
I am new to the site. I have acquire a 76 Hercules 175 GS 7 speed. I am starting to restore it, I got it running and was thinking it seem to be geared a bit high. So the question becomes wear can I get a new front sprocket and is it the same as the Pentons
Thanks
Dave

No the front sprocket is different. You would be better to find a 2 tooth larger rear sprocket. Easier too.

I have 14T sprockets for the 125 7-speed Hercs. They are for the 428 chain - Sachs part number 0636-108-000.

Try checking with Jake Fisher in PA. He has a large selection of parts for the Hercules 7 speed bikes.
