Title: Getting another KTM, jeez
Post by: Mike Hufnagel on January 24, 2013, 01:03:44 PM
Finally went and got another KTM wehich is on its way. But this time it's strictly street based. Yep a 2012 RC8R. I am very stoked!!! I think that brings the KTM & related bikes up to 10. I need to thinn the herd a bit.   Anyone insterested in a 1998 300mxc w/rekluse & a 2000 Duke 2 that pretty modified?

Oooo RC8R?  I would love to have a street model.  I enjoy being married at the moment though.

Next question what color did you get?

White.  I would have loved to have gotten the production racer though. I couldn't pass this deal up.  For me, it was cheaper to ship it from Calif. than to buy it in Ohio (with all applicable taxes, titles, etc).     Now the question is, how long before I lose my licence?

Thank god I'm single or else I wouldn't be getting it.

Here's an idea. I remember an article in a dirtbike magazine that a guy got a sizeable year end bonus check from the company he worked for. He wanted a new KTM dirtbike but wifey said no, but she didn't know how much extra he had got on that check.. He went outta state a good distance, bought the bike, mailed himself a "contest winner"'s statement on the dealers letterhead and went & picked himself up  a new bike.

That is priceless. Well excluding the cost of the bike.  I may have to try that some day.  It would take a lot of setup with my wife though.  Years of planning!
