I'm rebuilding a Sachs motor out of a 1973 Six Days and looking for a nice cylinder, and both side covers. Covers need to say "Sachs".
Thanks
Marc

Marc,
I do not have any usable cylinders that don't have broken fins. Some are cut for the steel tanker. All my clutch cover cases are cracked. I DO have a very good ignition cover, which are actually harder to find than the clutch side. Shoot me your mailing address and I will get it to you.

Marc,
I think know where there is a rod kit. Send me a email and I will try and get the details unless you have already found one.
Ron Carbaugh
Ron, I also need a steel rod kit for a Sachs. Are they available, and for what price? Thanks, joe
Hi Joe,
take one of these. They're as excellent as the F&S originals for Sachs 1251/6B with around 90 mm crankshaft (not fitting the old crankshafts with 107 mm diameter). You might have to remove a litte bit material (around 0,5 - 1 mm) from the engine housing. Otherwise the conrod could touch the housing.

I have one of these in my Hercules GS and it works great.
