hello trial enthusiasts. im afraid to say that this bike is never a penton built in the KTM factory in austria.just see the wheel hubs! a sachs engine is not always a penton! Maybe John Penton sold trial machines from another factory like montesa or Beta or so under his name,as he did it with the KTM motorcycles. KTm has never built trial bikes, only one prototype. bikes which looks like KTM trials are self constructed or so,so take care bidding this item! Regards Dr.2Stroke
You are right Dr2stroke in that the bike on ebay is not a KTM, but it is a Penton. They were made in England in the Wassell factory and sold in the US as Pentons. In Europe they were sold as Antelopes. The one on ebay looks like a good project as it has a lot of the hard to find parts still on it. I have never saw one with shouldered rims before, but the hubs are the correct Metal Profile units.

More like a vanished Wassell, someone
no doubt made him an offer he couldn't
refuse. Ah, capitalism!
