Title: Cory Buttrick
Post by: Mick Milakovic on February 20, 2013, 11:01:17 AM
Results from the first national enduro of the year are in, and Cory's name is not listed in the top 20.  Does anybody know if he is heeled from knee surgery last year and riding this year?

His is not supposed to be back to racing until half way through 2013. On a side note, POG's "Kid" Christopher Phillips got 4th 250B.

Hey Mick, It's a long story but no, Cory isn't healed.  Basically, the ortho said he was ok to start riding last fall with a special brace, so Cory rode a trials, had a freak fall, and rebroke his leg and tore his ACL again...despite having the special brace.  The good news is he is in good spirits and his leg is healing nicely, but he won't be doing much this year.

Dang, bad news.  My son Jarrin tore his ACL, maniscus, and some other cartilage last year in wrestling; it's a long recovery even doing it the right way.  If you're reading this, good luck Cory, you deserve the best!
