Peter,
I just finished reading your Member Profile in the latest POG newsletter, Still...Keeping Track, and what an incredible story it is...
Your life's work is something to be very proud of, and we are very fortunate to have you as a POG member. Your motorcycling adventures over the years were of such benefit to those who were in such real need in so many isolated, and sometimes dangerous places through out the world. You seemed to constantly draw upon what you learned as a youngster on the family farm, both mechanically and of agricultural nature, to help those who were less fortunate.
Your mention of a Ford 8N brought back memories of my younger days at our nursery, our 8N had a manure bucket on the front loader and I spent many hours and days on that old tractor....often popping the front tires off the rims with a heavy load in the bucket:)
You stated that you have a goal of promoting the awareness and interest in the Penton brand in your area, John Penton, as well as the POG, could not hope for a better ambassador.
Hope to meet up with you sometime and hear some of your Banjo playing..
Paul
Paul,
Thanks for the support. Special thanks to those POG members Kip, Mike, Rob W., AL B., Nelson, Vance Smith and Antoine Lutz who have responded to my numerous questions during my recent rebuild (including motors) of my first two 125 cmf pentons.
