Title: 72 Six Day head/compression release questions
Post by: Steve Minor on April 05, 2013, 06:23:27 AM
I have a 72 Six Day with a compression release that I'm thinking about removing....just want to clean up the handlebars and motor. My questions are: (1) Is there any benefit to having a compression release on a small bore and (2) What should I replace it with? Another spark plug or some other sort of plug?

Steve,
Very easy to just put a plug, but since you are dealing with a small bore I prefer to find another head so that my combustion area is smooth and that I am getting all the good uninterrupted flow for making horsepower.  Someone would normally use this head for short track as a brake.  It is a great head that someone would probably trade for....if you can't find a trade email me off site and I will see if I have a head that hasn't been worked.
