I am building a 77 MC5 with a 78 KTM 125 engine and internal rotor Motoplat, with a soon to install NOS .030 Penton Wiseco piston, and 1976 D-Akront wheels, but until I get the engine up to Gary Ellis to bore and rebuld, I wouldn't be able to even estimate the finished price. I would like to have it done for Mid-Ohio depending on Garys schedule of engine rebuilds. Mike

Mike, thanks for the heads up on your project......would you consider selling it before you do the engine? I think I can finish the engine, I've done a few of them in my day ;)

I'm trying to get something to ride for Vintage Days and a couple of other events. I'm just about ready to assemble the 1984 KTM 250 MX project for Post Vintage but I really want a small bore 125 to ride and race.

Thanks Mike.

Mike,
Where are you located? Give me a call and I can fill you in on where I am on this. My cell ph reception at home is poor, but if you leave a msg, I will call you back if the phone goes to voicemail. Mike 618-553-1346

Mike,
In my 76 engine parts manual the 125 shows to have a 32mm Bing 84 series carb, the 175 has a 30mm, the 250 has a 36mm and 400 a 38mm Bing.
The 12-1-78 dated service bulletin however, shows the 125 with a 34, the 250 GS with a 36, and the 250 MC and 400 with a 38mm Bing, and it is the same in my 78 engine manual. Mike

The carb I bought on ebay for the 125 turns out to be a 36 mm Bing 54/36/1220 if you know anyone that needs a 36 Bing let me know :) I can still make it work :D
