Title: Steel Tanker Wheel Bearings/ What size?
Post by: Daniel P. McEntee on May 13, 2013, 09:05:03 PM
Hello Group;
Does anyone know off hand what the front and rear wheel bearing sizes are for a '71 Penton Berkshire? I'm going to change at least the front bearings on my brother's berkshire, but want to have the bearings on hand when I do. My parts manual just gives the peat number, not the bearing number. Oddly enough, it does call out the 6004 bearings for the sprocket carrier, is what I think you call it, but not the main wheel bearings. I can get them locally if they are the almost typical 6203 or similar.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Dan McEntee

Dan,

Give Al Buhner a call.  He can set you straight on the bearings you require.

Hi Dale;
    I had looked there before, but couldn't get my eyes past the KTM part numbers in the bold blue print, and didn't notice the bearing numbers before. I haven't had the time to call Al yet either. I gotta make some notes in my manuals with these numbers.
   Thanks a lot,
