Check out this link. I only see one Penton, but there lots of cycle stuff.
Be sure to check out the 'more photos' section.

Neat auction, thanks Randy.
The picture of the Penton was originaly purchased by Mike Treadway through my parents business J & J Cycles. I have already contacted Mike about his old Penton and since his business Treadway Honda-Suzuki is located in Zanesville, Ohio (Just up the road from Randy)he will be at the auction trying to get his old bike back.
There are actually pictures of this bike in action in the Penton gallery.... See if you can find them!
The panels were custom painted by the same person that did the signs and the race van.
I was so excited for Mike and myself when I spotted the bike. I actually still have the information on this bike when it was sold.
Please everyone in the POG let him get his bike back.
Thank you,
Mike Scholl

Mike Treadway is really a great guy, and I've known him for a long time. On several occasions he's mentioned that he would like to have his old Penton back. It would be really cool to finally see it happen.
Mike Scholl,
If he gets the bike back, we'll have to work on him to get it running and go racing with us!
Gary
Gary,
If Mike does end up with the bike there is no doubt in my mind that you should be the one to restore it!
Mike is the one who got me interested in vintage racing and I am so thankful he did.
When I talked to Mike about the bike he mentioned to me that several years ago Terry Thompson had told Mike he had one of his old personal race bike's and as anyone of us would have thought it's one of my 1980's or early 90's bike...who knew it would be his Penton!
I just wish there was a way he could just go get the bike and not go through the auction.....The suspense is killing me!

Mike, I saw the J&J airbox cover but wasn't sure who's bike it was. It would be great if Mike T. could get it.
Maybe if someone approached the people doing the auction people and explain all this to them, they just might have some passion and allow it to be sold outside the auction??

Randy,
Thank you for posting the picture of Mike!
I called my parent's and the first words my Mom said were (Did Mike get his Penton back?) I said yes....
I had so many calls these past couple of weeks asking if I had seen the picture of the Penton on the auction site that has J & J Cycles on the number plate... I would tell the same story everytime and it didn't bother me a bit.
I am so thankful to have so many great friends.
I can't wait until I talk to Mike.

Mike,
No problem. The credit for the picture goes to POG member Dean Davis. He sent it to me on his cell phone so I thought everyone would enjoy it. Tell Mike T. that I'd like to see it when it's all new again.
OUTSTANDING!!! I love a story with a happy ending!!

Could you share with us what kind of prices some of the other bikes and maybe some of the cars were bringing?
Bob,
Sorry, but I didn't go to the auction. I do know there were a couple Huskys there too. Maybe Mike S. will hear from Mike T.
