Title: Steel Tank Control Cables
Post by: tofriedel on October 16, 2013, 09:45:35 AM
Is there anyone out there repoping clutch, brake, throttle and choke cables for the Steel Tankers in the original gray outer casing?

Thanks in advance.

I make my own, just buy a bunch of the original cables from Genuine NOS and cut them to size and silver solder them with MAPP gas.Use the original end hardware. Fun and simple:)

Genuine NOS has the throttle and choke cables.  Hardest one to come up with is the clutch.  They all typically suffer from rust coming thru the covering.  I've had luck with touching them up using a leather colouring spray from Brillo - Light Grey 060
