Title: Odd Bing 27 stamping

I have a Bing carb that is stamped 1/27/20. Originally it was stamped 1/27/17 but the 17 has been stamped over with a big "X" and 20 stamped above the original 17. It looks like something done at the factory. Anybody have any ideas as to why? Just curious.

The 20's should have fuel inlet holes drilled on the float needle casted holder inside the float bowl . KTM/ USA  version.
