Well sort of my first introductry post..This is the Jackpiner that was listed on Craigslist in CT. The deal with the old owner went smooth. Pick up was prompt. Delivery was as promised. And it is as described. Just a runner as I wanted, something I could start with a hip replacement. Added fuel and started first kick. Pick of California sunshine.

Congratulations Doug! There's no better feeling than getting a "new" bike:). Welcome back to Penton land. Tom

Congrats! Small world with the Penton group. I had owned that bike back in the mid 90's Bought it from a guy in Stow MA. Sold it to Tanz here on the board '02 or so?? Glad to see them moving around and getting used?
-I also had a '73 'Piner w/the MX tank that was basically a brand new bike. Bought it from a former Penton dlr in Iowa. Sold it to Bob Ramsden? from TX and he sold it shortly after. It was pictued here as bike of the month years ago. Anyone know where it went? Sure would be nice to get it back someday.

I wonder why none of the owners ever looked at the rotted out rear hub and sprocket drive?
Best part of the pic- the black Lab!! Ha!
Great dog!!
