Title: 125 Penton gearing-
Post by: clayman on July 08, 2002, 09:41:39 PM
Question:
What do most 125 Penton riders use for gearing for motocross? I don't get off the line well with the stock gearing. Should I change to a much larger rear sprocket, or change countershaft sprocket? Also, are swingarm bushings readily available? My swingarm has some play in it (almost too much sway for AHMRA tech officials). What about carburetion? Should I stay with the Bing or go to a Mikuni?
Thanks for all of the help!

Clayman;   I have been told by some very wise Penton people to use a set up of 13 X 60 for MX  You can start in second gear and it makes for an excellant hole-shot   The Bing in proper set up is as good as any other carb.
