Title: Hub Assembly help
Post by: cardojr on February 15, 2014, 05:43:35 PM
Hi All, I think I need a little direction on my 68 steeltanker hubs.
I took them apart 10 years ago & took pics with the polaroid . Well, the polaroids faded in the tool box and the steeltank parts list(plate 11) is very obscure. Can anyone shed some light as to the assembly order on both the front & rear hub? I can send pics of what I have.
Thanks- Rob

My suggestion is to get a manual from Al Buhner.

Here is his web site - //http://pentonpartsusa.com/

Thanks Tony !
I've got to order a few Items from Al, so I'll order up a copy of the shop manual.
Thanks again, Rob

I recently laced my '69 hubs with no problems. The pictures I had taken before disassembly were  invaluable. Let me know if you would like to view. I used my modified "Total Gym" as a truing stand! Not sure you will find what you need in a manual...possibly.  Harry
