Title: Many thanks to the POG!
Post by: Admin on March 11, 2014, 10:51:47 AM
I would like to thank all of you for the warm welcome, and the wonderful t-shirt and sweatshirt autographed by John Penton!

I enjoy your forum, since I also ride vintage bikes.  Here are two photos, one of my beautiful nickel plated 1887 Columbia Expert.  The other of my wonderful red wonder, an 1886 Columbia Expert.

As you can see, I am loyal to my brand, just like y'all are loyal to the Pentons!

Enjoy the Spring and try to keep the rubber side down.  That is what I try to do!

Those are really cool, Alison - and probably very difficult to ride, too. They appear to have a geometry perfectly suited for a spectacular endo.  Perhaps you and other POG members will find interesting the relationship between the term "gear inches" and your style of velocipede.  Sprockets, anyone?
