Title: Penton Frame
Post by: Jeffrey Bruce on May 12, 2014, 11:09:16 AM
Can anyone help me with identifying year and model of this frame?
I thought it may by 76 GS or MC, but not sure.

550 06456. (gray frame, marzoochi forks and shocks, and no loop on the back of the frame)

Any help would be great!

550 is MC-5 and most likely a 77 model, especially if it has the dual position footpeg mounts. The closest frame # I have is 6132, which is a 77 dual position footpeg MC5 frame.Mike
check out this thread for more info on the difference of the rear seat mount area of the 76 and 77 frames.

I think most of the '76s had leading axle Ceriani forks also, cousin Ernie has a '76 MC5 250 with Ceriani forks.
