Hi All, I blew one of my shocks this weekend. Does anybody know what tool I need to remove the collar on Curnutts and where to get it?

Mick,
Similar tool for alot of shock bodies. Works, Curnutt, etc. Here is a pic from a Works Performance sheet that shows the tool.
Dont know that I have ever seen them sold anyplace.
I made one up like this out of scrap steel and a piece of steel pipe. Drill and tap for a 6mm bolt to index/hold the shock top.

Mick,
Here is who I use.....great guy and knows his business!
I can rebuild your Curnutt shocks for you. I worked for Chuck Sr in the old days (75-82). Rebuild consists of new seals,O-rings,fluid,Nitrogen (where applicable) and paint on the bodies. Rebuild is $75 and you pay the shipping to and from. I will let you know if they are not rebuildable before any repair work is done.
I have shock eyes, aluminum mounting grommets, spring keepers, preload spacers and other stuff give me a call to discuss prices. 760-367-3575
