Title: Penton Movie in Hooksett, NH.
Post by: pklinck on July 19, 2014, 07:46:43 PM
Folks,

Steve Tassinari who's business makes all of KTM's reed valves here in Lebanon, NH. is sponsoring a movie showing on Wednesday night the 23rd of July at 7:30pm in Hooksett, NH., between Concord and Manchester NH.  For those POGers in New England who might attend, bring a running or not running penton along to display outside the door.  Very cool.  I bought 4 tickets but not sure if I want to take my penton to the movies in a 1951 chevy pickup since we get out after dark.  Better a modern pickup but maybe I'll wing it anyway.  See you there.

Peter,

You guys are going to have a great time at this showing. Having some Penton bikes on display helps build the excitement.

Make sure that you report back on this posting after the movie about how it went.

Greetings Folks,

The John Penton Story movie showing went well at the IMAX theater in Hooksett, New Hampshire.  The seats were all sold out.

At least 2 hours before the movie heavy clouds settled in the area  followed by heavy rain may have discouraged people from bringing a bike.  It discouraged me since my vacuum wipers in that 1951 chevy pickup don't work and I was not planning on bring a sleeping bag.

When I called the movie theater however their recording did not announce the movie along with all the other movies being shown at that time.  So I believe it was a private gig and all tickets were sold through our motorcycle club communities, gathr, etc..

There were several people who previously worked at motorcycle dealerships that were present.  For example, Nash Bros. cycle shop in Connecticut.  My former NETRA enduro riding partner Peter Akerman also showed up. What a reunion.

A great presentation and movie and I look forward to watching it again.

best to all
