Title: Clarke Tanks
Post by: Bill Campbell on August 19, 2014, 04:26:20 AM
There is a 3.7 gallon plastic tank that Clarke make for Pentons. It says MC5 style. Does anybody know for sure that it will fit an MC5 frame. Thanks Bill

I have an ugly large off white aftermarket plastic tank that was on a 78 MC5/MX-6 that I bought. Yours for cost of shipping if you want it. Mike [email protected]

The big Clarke tanks fit good on an MC5. The small ones are a little too small.

Here is a small Clarke tank on an MC5. You can see in the pic I had to bend the front mount in and make a spacer but other than that it was fine.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Went to a vinduro on the weekend. Mike thanks for the offer but I am after an orange one so I will probably buy a new one. I know what you mean Dennis as I have one of those on my 125 and noticed that it was smaller than my real MC5 tank.Cheers Bill

Excellent looking resto there Dennis. What colour did you use to paint the forks?

Adrian, you've got a good start going. They always seem closer after the frame is painted.

Not now Lew, rode it 2 years and sold it.

Bill, this is what I used on the forks, but I think it is discontinued.
