Title: Six-Day frame repair suggestions?
Post by: penton117 on July 22, 2002, 11:11:29 AM
Hi Fellow poggers,

I need advice. I have seen several 72 and 73 125cc frames lately all with the same problem. The bottom rear motor mount (round tube that goes across the frame w/ 2 motor mount tabs welded to it) is cracked. Usually it is cracked near the left-side tab, close to where it is welded on. Is this a common problem? If so, what has anyone done to make a lasting repair?
Thanks,

Don

Had the same problem and CR High Performance in Fallbrook CA welded the piece. Haven't had a chance to try it.

Hi Brian,

Keep me posted on how that repair works out. I also thought of welding mine, but was afraid that would not solve the problem of the tube being too thin. I am now considering cutting out the tube entirely and welding one in w/ a larger wall thickness.
