I see that bike has the case protectors on the front of the frame. Were those an accessory from Hi Point? The reason I ask, is that my 175 GS does not have them.. Thanks!

There were two different types of those protectors made that I am aware of. I remember seeing those items along with tool bag racks and numerous other items being created in the Penton R&D facility "back in the day". Lorain, Ohio was home to a major great lakes ship building industry and some of the folks who came to work for Penton had learned their craft in the ship building industry.
Ollie Martin moved to the Amherst/Lorain area from western Pennsylvania for a job in the boatyards, Al Born moved from West Virginia for a job in the Ford plant. Sorry for getting off topic...:)
Those case protectors bolted on with the same bolts that hold the bash plate to the frame. The case protector in the photo that is linked below is on my 1973 Six-Day bike. The ones sold thru Hi-Point were similar but didn't fit around the frame like the one on the picture.

One of the bike frames that my little brother got from an old guy in Buford, GA out side of Atlanta, had the Hi-Point case bars on it. One of the little details that made me think that given where they came from that Barry Higgens or someone in his shop may have built up these bikes from parts. I had to do a little bit of work on them but they will be fine and I'll probably put them on the 400 when I get the engines back. If I can find the time and I think that I can do them justice, I may try to knock off a copy for the 250. The photo section is a great help. When the guys took photos they seem to take them at just the right place and angle. I didn't have a clue on how the center stand was going to install, but a couple of photos brought it all into focus, so to speak! My 75 Husky has a set of case protectors that I bought back when I bought the bike new, and are made of solid bar stock, about 8 or 10 mm diameter and bolt to the engine mount and the foot peg mount. I attached a steel skid plate to the bars and could still take them off and on with no trouble. I have an idea for a simialr application for the KTM engines, if I ever get a chance to really sit down and work it out. Not real period correct, but I figure anything a guy can do to protect the magnesium cases is worth the effort. The bars on your Six Days bike look nice, almost like they come right out of the main frame tube. A little extra work to make that rear bracket but it gets you that last little bit of ground clearence!

Go to the phot gallery and the same section that has Paul's bike. He has a link in his reply. Check out the photos there. The pivot bolts go through the foot peg mount tubes. The only thing I don't have yet is the bracket for the return spring. There was a thread about this at one time not long ago. I think Paul said he did something a little different than normal. I need to review that myself.

I did a 75 400 a while back with a center stand I got from Jake. I welded a tab on the swingarm tube to attach the return spring to.

This is the picture that made it clear to me. You can see the right foot peg mount and how the stand pivots around the boltthat goes throgh the tube. The spring bracket has that square lookin zigzag bend t clear a bolt head. It curves around underneath the brake arm pivot. That may be what Paul did different from a standard Hi-Point installation, I can't remember. I just wish I had the spare time right now to work on mine since we started talking about it!
Glad you like the Husky! My nephew misses it! If the petcock ever starts to leaking, switch it out to a Penton unit. I made the seal in that petcock, but seem to have lost the touch! I had been having troubles with my '79 250WR and finally resorted to installing one that I got from Al B. That reminds me that I need to replace that in my stash!

The mounting bolts do go thru the foot peg mounts. I have my 74 ISDT machine sitting here to look at, the bolts go in from the outside, need to remove the footpeg to install the bolt, pretty sure it has an allen head.
