Title: Early Penton/KTM Rear Wheel For Sale
Post by: Todd Rovello on October 22, 2014, 09:43:54 PM
Not sure what bike or model year wheel is from but wheel appears to match those on early 70s Pentons/Ktms. Rim is 18 inch Akront shouldered, 40 spoke, not sure of width, but measures 3 inches outside shoulder to outside shoulder.  Minor flat spots on rim edges. 5.00 -18 tire mounted on rim. Tire holds air, but has weather cracking. Hub is conical, with KTM Magnesium stamped on it. 52 tooth sprocket.  I figured I would offer it to POG members first. Asking $50 you pay shipping. Can provide pics. I'm not sure how to post pics here.

Chicago Jerry,

I sent pics, hope you got them. Let me know if not. Any idea which bike(s) this wheel is from?

hi todd. thanks for the pix. i have a couple like this already. the screws through the rim work for a racer but i'm looking for a nicer looking rim for a restoration. its probably off a 74 or 75 250 or 400. if it was off a 175 i think that it would have a larger sprocket, 500 tire probably puts it on a 400  chi jer
