What size rear tire does a 400x18 change over to in the new sizes? Its for a 73 jackpiner.

Depends on the brand, some 100/100-18s would be correct and some 110/100-18s would be correct. The closest tire you can get today to the 400-18 Metzler is the Pirelli MT16 110/110-18.
