Early this week I traveled out to Beckley, WVA to inspect some coal mining equipment and had a chance to visit over supper with a local fellow who rode/raced in the sixties and early seventies and the conversation of course turned toward Pentons. At some point in time back then he had a steel tank Berkshire ( judging by his description) and he said pulled the motor out of the Penton and installed it in a Rickman chassis.
He called this bike - wait for it; ........the Prickman.
After having a good laugh I never thought at the time to ask if he did this just to have a bike called a Prickman or if he did it for some other reason. He may have been kidding about the whole thing and playing an old joke on me - not sure. Anybody else ever heard of this?
