An amazing story, regardless of their riding "strategies". the relatively tiny KTM factory beats the mighty Japanese factories not once, not twice, but THREE times in the 250 GP class. I'm not sure which year is THE biggest upset, but I would suggest 1974?
Does anyone know why they kept the straight forks and not gone with the leading axles on their bikes? I once (any only once) tried to ask one of their mechanics, but I would have been better off asking the rocks on the ground..... Any thoughts, insight???

For tighter Tracks ? the 1972/3 bike has Betor forks? and a husky front hub.
