Stop by Dave's, under construction Museum. Nice to talk to him. Here is the inside with 007. (http://i364.photobucket.com/albums/oo86/rdhott55/get-attachment.jpg) (http://s364.photobucket.com/user/rdhott55/media/get-attachment.jpg.html)
Thanks for coming down, had a good visit. Plan on a open house when I get the Museum done, sometime after New Years. Just have to paint the floor and put in a door. My wife took over and we'll be having Christmas in my new room so work is on hold. Also thanks for the shirts and you and all the POG members have Merry Christmas and a Happy New year From Dave & Di Sanders
I can't wait to come for another visit and pick your brain some more.

Mr. Sanders has some really nice Pentons. I remember he would have them on display at the AHRMA events that were held at Lincoln Trail up at Casey years past. I'll sure plan on visiting if possible next time I'm that far North on Route 1.
Saw this post. Did you ever get it finished?
Mike, I've got the museum work done, been putting up pic's, building shelves, etc. Got the floor done and ready for bikes but I put the bikes in another building and with the rain and snow melting I can't get them out. I hope to get started in a day or 2 cleaning some bikes that or here in my main building. We get very little snow here and its a problem, sure would,t like to be out east. My drive way is gone, have to part close to the road. Where in Illinois do you live? I have some pic's but don't have any idea how to post them. My wife takes some with her I pad or phone??? and puts them on face book or she can e-mail them. If anyone is interested, she can send them for posting. Dave
I live south of Peoria, Il. Let us know when its done.
Mike, Things going good now, weather better and starting to dry out. Got some of the bikes moved from other building and working on cleaning them up from setting all winter. I have Indy people coming next week 26 or 27th so hope to have everything in place. I seam to have to many side bars, I've had to baby set this week "spring break", helped a fellow with his KTM forks, repair drive way and plant grass seed, and the wife always has something for me to do. Tomorrow I go to Mt Carmel, Ill and meet with my old riding buddies for coffee and lies. I got more work done before I retired. Dave
Had a nice conversation with Dave yesterday by phone followed up by a slew of pictures of his completed Penton Museum. What an incredible array of machines and memorabilia.
Dave's collection, creativity, and knowledge are incredible, but pale in comparison to his enthusiasm for all things Penton and his willingness to share of his knowledge and experiences.
