Title: 3 piece clutch rod removal
Post by: Scott Sappington on January 04, 2015, 02:05:13 PM
Got a bit of time to investigate my clutch dis-engage issue. 1st I have the "old style" (74 250HS) bearing cover removed. Any unforeseen problems tilting bike over or use of magnet to remove the ball and rod from the bearing side, of course I'm able to pull out the close half. I'd like to measure rod / ball.
2nd, and I'm not sure if this is my clutch dis-engage problem, there is a good .015-.020 wear in the bearing cover (arm side)where the arm/barrel rides?? I did measure the 0 distance before removal, measured 43mm.
Thanks, Scotty
