Title: KTM 500 waterpump covers?

I know this is a Penton site, but people here have vast knowledge! I considering a 1991 KTM500 for EVO racing, but have heard the water pump covers rot out on them and there's no replacement? I know of homemade fixes, but don't like that route. Thanks Jon

Jon,

You should probably give Holeshot KTM a call.  I went through the same with an 88 KTM 250 a couple years back and I recall Candy telling me that KTM was reproducing the part of the case that houses the water pump in aluminum.  Not sure if they are available for you bike but worth looking into.
