Couple of Huskies too.. or maybe just 1
Nice Alouette collection, 3 may make 1 or 2 bikes?
Be nice if he answered his e mails.
I have a Husky just like that one and it's a WR with the big tank and pipe. Bought it new in '75. The Alouettes ought to be good for parts to keep a Penton together wouldn't they? I'm not that familar with that breed. I likethe XL-185 also for a foo foo bike.
Type at you later,
Dan McEntee

Click on (show contact information)at the bottom of the listing. A lot of CL people don't want emails. Many CL emails end up in spam folders and the people don't even know they received one. Or they are tired of receiving bogus emails. Call him direct.
I am not affiliated with this person and don't know them.
Since I have the Alouette group on Yahoo I have received an email from a gentleman claiming he has bought the Alouettes .... so I think they are off the market ..... BT

Gordon - just curious. Point to me to some reading if that is easier, but what is the story behind the Alouettes? Brakes and forks look like different specs that KTM/Penton. Who built these things and for how long? Was is the Canadian version of John Penton?
Too Close .. I am the moderator of the Aloutte Yahoo Group... go to the site, apply and I will ok your membership and you can look around ... the Forks were 30mm dia and made by someone in Belgium from what I have been able to figure out ... the front and rear hubs were Italian... the Pipe though it looks like a Penton Pipe is close but less brackets on it other than the Sachs engine ,carb and Radelli Rims ... there is nothing Penton ..... BTW the 3 bikes in Maine are still on the market the buyer went to pick them up and declined on them ... thks BT

It would be waaay fun to show up at Ormstown with one for the XC race. Man, 30 mm forks..."Boing".
I showed up with my Pentons in 2013 and you would have thought I was from Mars with the staring and questions.
Thanks Brian.
Brian, I know nothing about Alouette's.
I do know I also got a lot of looks and questions about my Penton Trials bike at Ormstown, the first year I went. Even more when I took the tank off and used the frame tube (chain oiler) to hold my fuel.
Are both of you going to Ormstown this year ?... Ive never been but was thinking of adding it to my calendar ... Maybe a good spot for the "POG Road Show" to spread the good word .....BT.... PS getting back to that CL add for Maine the "other bikes " refer to a Rickman 360, a DKW 175 a CZ250........

I sure know THAT feeling...:D
Could someone provide the info on the Ormstown event?
Thanks,
Paul, From Mars...
Here you go: http://www.epnat.ca/VORF.htm
I certainly won't miss it. The only one I've missed is when they were the same weekend as the ISDTRR in Dalton, MA.
Mick will be there again this year too, and he knows how to have fun. And he knows a little about Trials and MX too.
Three days of racing. All Vintage Trials, Cross Country and Motocross.
If you want to see a ton of pictures from past events, go here and click on any of the Ormstown albums: http://sasquatchvintageracing.smugmug.com/

Yes, that's me. Anyone that comes to Ormstown will have a blast, and a lot of competition.
Definitely maybe in 2015...we just did the XC racing on Saturday in 2013(sure wish they provided a little more time between V and PV...), and then my wife and I enjoyed touring around the "High St. Lawrence River Valley" area on Sunday.
It's a beautiful site. You're basically setting up in a large, beautiful backyard of the host's farm.
anyone on the list bid on these again ... they came up and looks like they didnt meet the reserve.....BT
