The days are passing quickly as the Progressive International Motorcycle show in Cleveland approaches.  The Penton Owners Group will be once again participating with a number of motorcycles, photos and memorabilia on display Friday Jan. 30th thru Sunday Feb. 1st.  Todd Huffman is scheduled to be in town and movie DVD's, Blu Ray's, Shirts, Books, and posters will be offered throughout the weekend.  We are currently listed as being in booth 1616 (lower right corner of the map) and will be next to the Lake Erie Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of American and the Vintage Japanese groups.

Happenstance is defined as something that happened by chance. From where I sit, if the POG needed a one word motto, it would be happenstance, please allow me to explain.

The fact that the POG is part of the Cleveland venue of the International Motorcycle Show was most certainly not planned, as a matter of fact we were just trying to be sure that our Penton Day at the AMA meeting wouldn't fall on the same dates as the show, when fate took over.

You see while checking the dates it was noticed, by chance, that there was going to be a vintage bike display at the show. And then is was noticed, once again by chance, that the show management was looking for a few more vintage motorcycles. At that point the POG agreed to supply the show with the total amount of needed motorcycles and guaranteed the management that they would be pleased, and pleased they were. Click the link below to see the great photos that Bill Smith took of the first display.

From that first chance encounter, the presence of the Penton Owners Group at this event has grown and grown, thanks to the efforts of many folks.

Happenstance still plays a small roll in the POG's involvement, but as you can see from President Dale's posts concerning this event not much is left to chance, Thank You very much Dale!

The reason I am writing this is to encourage any of you who might be "on the fence" about attending this show to climb on over....and become part of it. This show is just so much fun, come and hang out at the POG display area, possibly help to meet and greet the folks, it is a wonderful event and so much goes on, you will be glad you did!

I am not sure if the "exploding Penton" will be making an appearance in the POG display this year, but rest assured there will be plenty of excitement in the POG area, come and be part of it !
