Title: sachs gear shift mechanism shimming
Post by: James Niebrzydowski on February 15, 2015, 02:00:49 PM
In the penton manual under rebuilding the engine on page 51 fig 112 it said install shims to selector shaft until flush with case  . where do you put these shims?
DO the shims go on top of the circlip ?  its a sachs 125 6a six speed.

Thanks gooddirt, I think I got the shifter set to equal to amounts of over ride going down from 4th gear to 3rd and back to 4th. On the bench the shifting is inconsistant sometimes I can go right thru the gears other times it just won't go into the next gear is this normal when the motor is not running? Also there is a neutral after 6th gear is that normal?
