What's not to love about an excellent article on Can-Am race bikes in the 70's? Focus of this article is the 77 Can-AM MX3 250 "Black Widow", which apparently was not a very friendly bike. Great reading, interesting tech:

I have a 250 MX-3, and a set of freshly rebuilt Ohlins shocks, courtesy of Steve Marpes to outfit it with once I save the money to buy a Novation swing arm to replace the spaghetti stock one, and a set of Al Roberts top notch brake shoes to replace the virtually non existent stock ones. Mike

Wow- THAT sounds like the fix, Mike. I immediately wondered is someone had offered/built an aftermarket swingarm for this "bad boy".
For me its more of just a neat toy and the swingarm will just add to the "eye candy". I don't remember who it is, but I was told of someone that actually rides one in Enduros in the woods on a regular basis. Talk about living dangerously. Mike
