One bike down, two to go...Jackpiner is ready, and just in the nick of time. Heading to Paxinos, PA first thing tomorrow for an AHRMA NA/NE XC race in the afternoon. Mounted up some fresh DC plastic side panels and that is a 75 (76?) Husky replica Falk fender on the front. The DC blue is pretty...true...if I do say so myself!
Gonna run Vint 200 and Historic 200 with Jackie Blue until the MC175 is ready to see the light of day. Bike should be fine, we'll see if the rider is up to the task.

MC250 (background) just going to see some MX duty this season, probably starting with Una - fookin' - dilla.
Great 3.8 mile course - but oh my gosh just about the whole thing was tree weaving, while going up and down a large hillside. Weather turned out pretty darn nice, sunny and 50-ish. Race 1 - first in class, maybe 6th-7th overall Intermediate out of 20 guys. Race 2 (Post Vintage) - scoring issues in my class, so TBD. But...my overall was probably no higher than 20th out of 30 Intermediates. I was surprised that the PV laps were a lot faster than the Vintage, but they were. Or maybe just the guys were! I was out-classed and out-gassed, the latter referring to my state of mind last two laps of PV. Whew.
More tree stories (you know the little sapling type) - twice I came to an immediate stop when small tree wedged between rear brake pedal and engine case. And YES..the solution came to me on the drive home. Duh.
"Jackie Blue" was great, but a little tired by the end of things. For whatever reason, almost lost front fender in Race 2 when a couple bolts backed out. VERY possible I forgot to put a final torque on these when I mounted new fender. Very possible. :)
It was great racing with you in the Vintage race Bob.
That is a great looking, and running Jackpiner.
BTW...the AHRMA NA XC series now has 2 great events in the books...and a Penton overall winner in both of the Vintage races.
Fast Dave Smeal on a 250 Hare Scrambler is off to a great start to the season.
Definately need more Pentons out there (so says this Husky rider...)!
Check the schedule and come on out...note that Paul Danik will be Grand Marshall at the next event.

It was great talking to you and racing/riding with you, Richard. We had a fun last lap - you and your Husky 125 moved along like a bandit.
And you're right about Dave Smeal on the Hare Scrambler in Vintage - FAST. He was even faster in Post Vintage (forget what he was riding), losing out to someone in the modern class running with us(on a 450 CRF if I'm not mistaken) on the last lap. He is one our Eastern best kept secrets. And no slower on the motocross track either, let me tell you.
