Nice. I use the Harbor Freight version and - while a little flimsy - I cannot beat the gas mileage and ease of use if I am only bringing one bike. Mountaineer goes from 11 mpg to almost 20 mpg highway.
Does it seem sturdy with the bike on? What brand did you purchase? I have been considering one of these for a while but wasn't sure if they are well built.
Todd Rovelo
I have one that is about the same, I purchased mine from Summit Racing for about $110.00 and free shipping my bike dose not move at all and is safer then pushing the bike up the ramp to the back of my truck. Mine has a extra parts that goes on the receiver that prevents side to side movement,
This one is very sturdy, made by a guy in Hagerstown MD. If interested I'll put up his websit
I checked Summit's site and they sell a Rage model that appears to be the one Fast Willie is referring to. It seems to be well built just looking at the pics. I would be interested in comparing the two If you could post the guy's website from Hagerstown. Thanks.
